Pekanbaru, Riau (Antarariau.com) - The regional taxation directorate general office of Riau said its tax revenues would most likely fall short of the target this year.
Tax income reached only Rp12.18 trillion until November this year of 72.67 percent of its target .
"Riau s tax income in the first 11 months of this year grew 10.16 percent from the same period last year, " head of Riau and Riau Islands taxation directorate general office Jatnika said here on Sunday.
Jatnika said all tax components in Riau -- income tax from non-oil/gas sector, value added tax and luxury sales tax , land and building tax grew but income tax from oil and gas secto0r contracted.
The failure to reach the tax income target this year was attributable to economic slowdown n and weak purchasing power, he said.
