Kampar, Riau, (ANTARARIAU News)- Riau province is third highest in Indonesia as provincial eastern trans area and regency trans area, as main cause with the support of wealthy people in able to buying narcotics.

The statement was made by head of Bangkinang jail Bawon to ANTARA at his office on Monday. "Riau is a province with the highest number of narcotic cases, third biggest in Indonesia", he said.

Especially with regard to Kampar regency, data of the Bangkinang jail said that of 400 inmates and detainees, the highest number of cases are narcotics with 88 cases, 76 of them are male and three female, but not all the narcotic cases came from Kampar, 23 came from Dumai, 11 from Teluk Kuantan, and the prisoners held at Pangkinang came from overloaded other jails, he said.
