Tembilahan, Riau, (Antarariau.com) - A fire razed six houses at Rumbai Jaya village in Indragiri Hilir district, Riau province, on Wednesday night, leaving a five-year old child injured, police said on Thursday.
"The fire broke out at around 11.00 p.m. on Wednesday and at least three families lost their homes," chief of the Kempas police precinct Adj. Comsr. A Raymond Tarigan said.
The fire occurred while the owners of the houses were sleeping, Raymond said quoting Aisyah, one of the fire victims.
"The fire caused Keysa Febri Hendrika, son of Aisyah, to suffer burns. But the injury is not serious and he has received treatment," he said.
All the fire victims have taken refuge at their relatives houses, he said.
Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
