Pekanbaru, Riau, Feb 11 (ANTARA) - Dumai police in Riau province, Thursday destroyed 2.099 ecstasy pills which were smuggled in from Malaysia. "The destruction is proof that we will combat narcotics in Dumai, which had become a sitting duck for international narcotic drug networks," chief anti-narcotic squad of Dumai police Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sanusi said. He said the thousands of ecstasy pills were evidence of the customs authorities at the Dumai international port. The thousands of ecstasy pills had been seized by Dumai customs personnel during a search of a passenger of Dumai Exspres 3 Edi Susanto (43) upon arrival in Dumai on January 31, 2010. Edi told the police he got the ecstasy from Malaysia to be sold in Bagan Siapi-api.
