Pekanbaru, Riau (Antarariau.com)- Officers of crime investigation unit of Indragiri Hilir s Police in Riau Province, have arrested an Indonesian migrant worker for attempting to smuggle methamphetamine and ecstasy pills from Malaysia into Indonesia.
The police seized 230 pills of ecstasy and 41 grams of methamphetamine from Abdul Haris, Senior Commissioner Guntur Arya Tejo, spokesman of the Riau Police, said here, Sunday.
Haris arrived in Batam from Malaysia on Saturday afternoon. He claimed that he had bought the drugs for 20 thousand Malaysian Ringgits.
He was arrested on Saturday at around 8 p.m. local time in Indragiri Hilir.
