Pekanbaru Expo To Be Opened June 18
Pekanbaru, Riau, June 16 (ANTARA) - The Pekanbaru regional government will organize the annual "Pekanbaru Expo" event at Serai Raja Ali airport for five days from June 18 to 22, 2010, an official said.
"Held to welcome the 226th anniversary of Pekanbaru, this annual event will last for five days and will be opened on Friday," chief organizer Suraji said here on Wednesday.
He said that the Pekanbaru Expo will be participated in by businesses from Riau province, other regions and abroad.
Suraji who is also head of Riau trade and industry service said that this year's expo consisted of at least 55 stands. Participants from other regions included those from Kutai, West Java, Central Java, Jakarta and West Sumatra.
"There are participants from several countries, among others from Malaysia," he said.
